La banda fue formada en 1991 por Matt Freeman y Tim Armstrong, quien habían formado parte del grupo Operation Ivy, a quienes se les unió Brett Reed en la batería. Ésta alineación grabó este EP, lanzado en 1992 por Lookout! Records, y poco después pasarían a formar parte del sello Epitaph Records, propiedad del guitarrista de Bad Religion, Brett Gurewitz.
